I have been trying to teach my kids the importance of saving.

It isn't easy.

especially when they see me sneaking some of the money to buy myself a snack ;).

Up until this point we have been using a big pickle jar to put all of our spare change in.

And though it isn't difficult, I still would rather leave the change lying around then go unscrew the jar lid and put the money in it. The kids are the same way.

Indeed, we do. 

As soon as we received them we gathered every coin in the house and the kids all took turns putting them in the dinosaur.

It was so fun!

 and then,a few days later, I let Tuesday get out the flower bank.

 Now we have one for the boys in the family and one for the girls. PERFECT.

I love the fact that you have to work to get the money out (by unscrewing a bolt). No more sneaking snack money...;)
