REVIEW: ShaToBu

I can't believe I found a body shaper that actually helps tone.

I wore it one day and I was sore the next!

I think it is awesome!

The ShaToBu actually does feel like a workout you wear.

The day I tried it out, I noticed that I was trying to run everywhere I went to give me an extra push.

The resistance bands built into the shaper make a world of difference.

I think the idea is to wear it as if it is your only undergarment, however, I wouldn't be able to afford to get a weeks worth of these undies, so I needed to wear something under if I were to wear these consecutively. 

They are extremely tight and a bit difficult to put on (which is a good thing), so I had to find a tiny pair of undies to wear underneath, and then, of course, I topped it off with my regular undergarment.

So that was three layers before I even got on my jeans...but I do think its worth it for the extra slimming effect and the toning it does while I chase kids around.

It definitely is not your average body slimmer.

REVIEW: SodaStream

Once upon a time, I told my husband that we needed a soda machine in our house.

It was 3 years ago when we moved in...

fast forward to now and I have one!

Weird.

It's so much better than the kind in the convenience stores because it takes up so little space ;).

It seriously is awesome!

It's a SodaStream.



As soon as it arrived, me and my five-year-old went to experimenting,

then we called a few people to rant about it. 

And followed that with several soda parties-

Everytime someone new came over for a few weeks.

It is so EASY to make your own "pop" (as I like to call it).

 I am a Coke Zero drinker, and I've been known to tip back a few cans of RedBull ;) and the SodaStream version of both of these are definitely comparable to the originals.

The Diet Sprite passed my son's test.

and the Root Beer made a great float.

There was also a Cranberry Raspberry flavored one and I loved it.

I'm going to have to say that Fresca passed the comparison test too.

(though I need my Grandma to come test it out, b/c she is the Fresca expert around these parts)

I can't wait to order more to test out.

 I am also excited to clear up some space in my pantry which is usually full of 24 packs of Coke Zero & Mountain Dew.

Now all I need to store my soda is a little bit of counter space.

It seriously is awesome.

Even my hard to impress husband is a fan!

(Thats how I know for sure something is cool-if it passes the Arin Test...jk)

This makes life easier and better, by helping feed my addiction without having to load all the kids up to go to the convenience store! ;)

Also, a major point here, for all of my readers with food storage, this is the solution to the soft drink gap in food storage! For sure- All you need is water!

Seriously, who wants to survive without Coke?? not a world I want to be in... ;)

PS-I timed myself from start to finish, I made myself a soda in 1 minute 32 seconds :) so much faster and cheaper than running to a store.

REVIEW: PaciPillow

Every once in a while, I come across a product that slaps me in the face and makes me think

"Why the heck didn't I think of that?"

I recently found one.

Check it out:

it's called a PaciPillow.

It is so simple, and yet so helpful!

For three babies, I've struggled to find this solution and now that I've found it, I'm loving it.

The other night, I had #4 in my Baby Bjorn,

as I was trying to make some dinner all the while I was holding the pacifier in her mouth and bouncing to calm her down,

then I remembered I had a PaciPillow to test out,

so I did my trick with a hairband again- to make the GumDrop Pacifier have a ring,

 Stuck that sucker on the pillow (inintended pun-but i like it-so it stays..) 

and wedged it between me and her (in my cleavage, if you must know ;)... )

From that point on, when she opened her mouth to complain and fuss, the pacifier stayed directly in front of her mouth, so she could just 'plug right back in" when she wanted ;)

I was amazed.

Now that little pillow is a necessity.

I put it between her swaddle blanket layers,

I tuck it under carseat buckles,

it sleeps by her.

and I'm sure this list will continue to grow.

 this product makes my life easier/better for sure!

REVIEW: BANGO

Who wants to go to the salon everytime they need their bangs cut?!

REVIEW: BabyLegs

It's been winter for a year it seems (especially b/c everyone in the family keeps being sick)
...but I have found a new staple around here.
Enter BabyLegs.

They are perfect!

They make snow days easier, b/c after putting on the coat and gloves, I slipped these over them both and the gloves actually stay on my 1 1/2 yr old! :).

Also, taking my 3 yr old to dance class at 9am in the middle of winter with snow on the ground is hard enough, but when she is freezing, it's really irritating. So I slip the awesome BabyLegs over her tights and ta-da! She isn't so "naked" anymore.

Also, my newborn can wear them with her dresses, she's warm enough to be wearing pants, and it's easier to change a diaper with these bad boys on than it is with tights.

I love my BabyLegs!

I can't wait to see how many different ways I can use them in the summer.

A few months ago they were having a big sale and I stocked up on them, and I've never looked back. ;)

REVIEW: Benefit makeup

I recently discovered a new brand of makeup that I LOVE.

My makeup routine has to be lickity split, so when I discovered this it was a whole new world:)

This face primer from Benefit has made my mornings easier. And my face a bit better looking ;)

I also have been keeping this foundation faker in my car- for days when I don't have time to do my makeup -except for at stop lights... (shh)

It's quick and easy and one step and makes me pretty(ish). :)

 For Christmas I talked my mom into getting me some more Benefit makeup and she got a gift set that included the BADGal Lash mascara and it does not disappoint.

I save it for date nights (wink,wink).

 It makes my lashes full and beautiful.

And doesn't smear

(unless I wake up with it still on in the morning...)

Another thing in the gift pack was this HOOLA face bronzer. 

I thought I'd never use it, but oh-I do.

I actually really like it!

 It goes on smoothly, the little cute brush is awesome.

I run it across my cheeks and eye lids after I use my foundation, then add some mascara..

 and ta-da! I'm set to go.

I can't say enough about Benefit Cosmetics I think it is my favorite makeup brand of all time.

There are so many other products of theirs I would love to try.

But it is a bit out of my tight range.

- worth it! but I just have to take my time getting it all, if you know what I mean.

If you haven't ever tried it.

Do so.

you wont regret.

REVIEW: Moby Wrap

I have hunted for a perfect way to "babywear".

Baby #1 got a big, bulky ring-sling, which is okay, but not my favorite. I felt insecure, like he was suffocating, b/c i couldn't see his face very well.

Baby #2 got the Bjorn. Which I did love, but not for her newborn phase and not for every occasion

(that's a review for another day).

Enter, my life saver, for baby #3, the MOBY WRAP.

Is it possible to fully express my love affair with my Moby?

I doubt it.

But maybe an abundance of pictures will help.

And I can tell you this story:

Just yesterday, I had an impromptu trip to my grandparents house. They have a farm.

My nearly 4 year old had a hurt foot and needed carried.

My 6 week old was extra grouchy needing to be held 

and my 23 month old needed a lift.

How did I do it all simultaneously?!

 I don't have a picture, but I can tell you for sure that I wouldn't have accomplished it as gracefully without my MobyWrap :)

ha. ok maybe it wasn't graceful, but for 3 kids, 90 lbs, and two arms. not too bad...

I got a different bag to store/carry it in, so it's easier to stuff into to.

But other than that-I love it. and highly recommend it.

Actually, I recommend one for the car, one for the house, and an extra for when one is in the dirty laundry. :)

I don't have any pictures of me with #4 in it yet. But I assure you, she loves it almost as much as I do!

...Now I just need to get a few more ;)...

REVIEW: Purell hand sanitizer

During our month(s) of illness and having a newborn, I got a bit protective and insisted on everyone "scrubbing in" when they walking in our house. I had several "cleaning stations" located around our house. Right when you opened the front door and one outside of my bedroom door where the baby was being quarantined. This stuff saved my the hassle of forcing my children to the sink to help them scrub with soap and water. It was a lifesaver. I love hand sanitizer, I have it in almost every room and in my car, in every bag. LOVE IT. :)

This product makes life easier and better!

REVIEW: Medela Pump In Style Advanced Breast Pump

Twelve days after I had my fourth baby (In January of this year), my third child was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia.

It sucked- to say the least.

My husband stayed the nights with him and I did my best to stay the majority of the daytime with him.

All the while, I was sending my newborn- not yet two weeks old, with other family members.

It was difficult.

It was sad to leave her during the crucial bonding time, but my sick boy needed me more- and she did not seem to notice.

I was so blessed to have received this pump from a dear friend. When I got it, I thought, "this is awesome, I've never pumped and probably never will, but this is an awesome one incase I take it up."

Guess what?!

 This was my life saver during the week of hospital stays! I would have been so much more upset with life if I would have had to end the breastfeeding before it had really begun.

This pump helped me to keep things going, and to fill bottles to pass along while dealing with the whole ordeal. It came with everything. Bottles, little cooler bag, a battery pack, two pumps- so I could rush through and pump both sides simultaneously between nurse visits.

It even came with a fancy bag, so I took it with me everywhere as if it were a purse/diaper bag. And it worked as one just fine.

(and then, on her two week birthday, she got admitted to the hospital with RSV, so she got to share a room with her big brother and the real fun began...but that is a different story for a different blog ;) ...)

Now, several weeks later, things are fine and she is nursing like a champ, and I most definitely can thank my Medela Pump for that. Without it, I probably would have given up hope and started her on formula.

During a very difficult time, this product made my life so much easier!

REVIEW:Suave 3-in-1

When I'm wrestling to bathe four young kids (sometimes three at a time), I don't want to mess with bubble bath, shampoo, body soap, conditioner. Who has that many arms? Or that much patience?? not me! I start the bath, dump some of this in for bubbles, throw the kids in, dump some of this on my hands, wash their hair and bodies. wa-lah! done and done. All with ONE PRODUCT.

I love this stuff. It makes my chore quicker and my life easier!
