GIVEAWAY & REVIEW: Breathable Baby Bumper (5/30)

Tuesday, April 26, 2011

I'll be the first to tell you that I'm not into padding and frill and froof.
Really, I dislike bumpers and I've never had a nice, big, baby bedding set to wash several days a week. I'm a minimalist of sorts and like to keep things plain and simple. As a result, bumpers do not usually land a spot in my baby cribs.
That was until I found this one.

The Breathable Baby bumper fits my minimalist style perfectly.
It's as if it isn't even there encroaching on crib space.
It is not a giant pillow wrapped around the perimeter of the crib, bunching and creeping up and coming untied (and in general just pissing me off to the point of freaking out and untying every tiny bow and throwing it in the thrift store pile.[what you haven't done that? ...you're weird])
My baby is starting to move a bit during her fits and the other day I found her arm hanging out from between the slats and her face pressed against a few others and I felt a bit sorry for her. So I installed the new bumper and I feel much better about her crib time now.
(side-note: as a child, one of my cousins tried to get her baby sister out of her crib by pulling her arm through the slats-dislocating her shoulder, this helps prevent my kids from doing the same-and I like that!)
I have a confusing crib with slats on three sides and a dresser on the one side, but the bumper fit and it works well. It really does fit on any size/style crib.

I really like this bumper.
It is simple.
It does it's job.
It looks sleek.
Most importantly-It is safe.
Even if her entire face gets pressed up against it and she can't move-she can still breathe and that is something I can go for!
It is built to collapse, so when she is older-she can't use it as a step to climb out of bed.

I am completely confident in this product and I have no safety worries with it in place.

This product meets the necessary criteria to stay in my baby's crib ;) It also makes my life better by not having to feel sorry for (or worry about) my baby when she is lying in her crib and I am getting a 5 minute break...

  12. I bought my sister a fancy crib set for her older son but now that she's due any day I know the dangers of quilted bumpers and would love to get her a breathable bumper, especially this one that matches her set!
